I just cleaned off about 14 inches of snow off my car.

It's moments like these when I think, damn I should have chosen to reside at my Kentucky residence this week! Lasting permanent change involving any aspect of one's inner self is not a function of will power. Will power alone is not enough, especially if you've been locked into a negative pattern (behavior) your whole life. Sadly any change based solely upon will power is most probably going to fail.
Successful change is rooted to two things: Having a good, viable, realistic plan on how you are going to go about it and proper execution. At this point a heavy sprinkling of will power (which will wain) wouldn't hurt.

As for me, I stopped making New Years Resolutions years ago and devoted my life is to the concept of Kaizen (Constant and never-ending improvement).
